Seems like the Knowles-Carter family have begun some serious damage control following last week’s embarrassment.
Jay Z and Solange Knowles reportedly went shopping on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, a day after their now-publicised elevator fight.
Reports say Jay and Solange visited high-end NYC jewellery store, Mr. Flawless, and spent about 20 minutes in there.
Sources in the store tell TMZ the pair showed no signs of strife as they looked at gems with Mr. Flawless himself. They left the store without buying anything.
A day after the surveillance video (showing the elevator fight) leaked on the internet, Jay and wife Bey attended a basketball game in NYC.
It has come to light that Solange Knowles was reportedly ‘yelling’ at anyone who got close to Jay Z at the Met Gala after-party last week. Reports say prior to lashing out at him, she was warning women to stay away from him.
A source told Us Magazine: ‘Solange was yelling that anyone who gets close to Jay has to be warned and deal with her as a sister.’
The violent altercation between Jay and Solange began to escalate after the rapper and his wife Beyoncé, who have two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy together, tried to get the brunette beauty to leave the party.
A second insider said: ‘Jay said something small to her along the lines of, ‘You are out of line’. Solange was being a loudmouth and snapped at Jay trying to calm her down and get her out of there.’
Solange was caught on CCTV kicking and clawing the rapper, 44, before she stormed out of the venue with a disgruntled expression on her face.
Beyoncé followed her sibling out and joined her in an awaiting car, while Jay opted to travel alone.
The insider explained: ‘Bey was just trying to keep the peace and get Solange home, which is why she went with Solange in the car.’
The 27-year-old singer has also erased all of her Instagram photos with her older sister, apart from one posted 15 months ago.
