Aye was originally Runtown’s song. Davido bought it off him and paid him a handsome 2.5m for it as well as featured in Gallardo.

The line, His favorite artist na Davido was formerly his favorite song na Gallardo.
Ot’s also very obvious that though the song has a Yoruba feel. Beyond “A e” or “Aye”, the song is not Yoruba in any way.

It’s a win-win though, something we like about Omo Baba Olowo. Unlike Wizkid, whose tracks all sound the same.

YOu will recall that Gobe was also bought from an artist, though the guy’s name has since disappeared into obscurity.
